Hylla Barbosa is an associate with RMI’s Climate Intelligence Program. Hylla supports the Supply Chain Emissions Initiative’s effort to promote end-to-end traceability in supply chains, stimulating a market where commodities can be differentiated based on their environmental and social impact.

Background

Prior to joining RMI, Hylla was a project coordinator at the Human Rights Academy in Oslo, where she coordinated international projects related to human rights education and environmental protection. While in Norway, Hylla became a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL), where she works to advance environmental law around the globe by providing specialized knowledge and assistance to strengthen the legal foundations of the conservation of nature and sustainable development. Hylla began her career as an intern at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington, D.C., and a volunteer supporting indigenous communities in Brazil.
