Senior Associate
  • Carbon-Free Buildings

Auri is a senior associate on the REALIZE-California team, which focuses on catalyzing the development of a California-wide deep energy retrofit program. Auri also engages with the broader REALIZE team, the Advanced Building Construction (ABC) Collaborative, and others within RMI on advancing building decarbonization.

Background

Auri’s undergraduate at MIT focused on interdisciplinary building technology. Following his passion for sustainable construction, Auri’s bachelor’s thesis explored low-embodied-carbon timber construction, which led to a PhD in Computational Methods for Circular Economy Structural Design at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. After a research exchange in Australia at the University of Queensland, Auri completed his postdoc from the University of Cambridge, investigating prefabrication methods for low-carbon school buildings. Prior to joining RMI, Auri worked as a consultant in life-cycle assessment and timber product manufacturing.
